Mr. Jose

Jose, a seasoned college admissions counselor from California, retired from public education in 2021 to focus on personalized guidance. He earned his bachelor’s in Speech Communication and two master’s degrees in Counseling and Educational Administration from California Lutheran University, where he was named the Outstanding Graduate Student in 2002. 

Starting his career in 1998, Jose worked with at-risk youth and has maintained connections with alumni who attended top universities like UCLA and Stanford through the Bill Gates Millennium Scholars Program. His experience extends from a high-performing International Baccalaureate High School to private counseling, where he excels in essay guidance, developing application strategies, and building college lists tailored to students’ strengths and goals. 

Committed to Stephen Covey’s philosophy of beginning with the end in mind, Jose guides students to envision their goals and chart paths to success. With over 25 years of experience, he is dedicated to helping students from diverse backgrounds navigate the complex college admissions landscape.

Ms. Patty is an English teacher with a special focus on supporting students with learning disabilities. She brings 20+ years of teaching experience from her time at Alachua County Public Schools as an elementary school teacher to Santa Fe College where she is a reading professor. Ms. Patty received her Bachelor in Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Florida in Gainesville and her Masters Degree in Specific Learning Disabilities from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, FL.

Ms. Erika is an English teacher with 9 years of professional teaching experience in the classroom. Her background includes seven years of experience as a high school ELAR teacher & one year of experience as a high school ESOL teacher. She is also fluent in Spanish (verbal and written). She received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX and is TESOL certified.

With over 15 years of experience in SAT preparation, Mr. Glen has helped countless students achieve their academic goals. Holding a Master of Arts degree from Brock University and a Bachelor of Arts from Merrimack College, he combines extensive knowledge with proven strategies to deliver exceptional results. Ms. Nermeen is a passionate physics educator with a Bachelor’s in Physics and Astronomy from Cairo University and a Master’s in Accelerated Physics from Stony Brook University. She began teaching as an undergraduate lab instructor, engaging diverse students in experimental physics. Her career includes teaching at RCTC Community College, where she simplified complex concepts using the Vernier lab environment. Currently, she teaches at Nova Community College and high school, focusing on creating engaging lessons that apply physics to everyday life.

Ms. Radhika is an AP Biology and AP Chemistry tutor with 8 years of experience and a strong background in both subjects. She has coached the Science Olympiad, with her students earning medals at the Regional and State levels. She helps students achieve top scores by developing a deep understanding of concepts, refining study methods, and strengthening skills through MCQs, FRQs, and test-taking strategies. Her interactive, personalized sessions are tailored to each student’s needs. Ms. Neela holds graduate degrees in Biological Sciences and an MBA from Wichita State University. She worked for 10 years in cancer research, specializing in breast and prostate cancer, and have 15 publications in national and international journals. She is an Associate Professor teaching Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Pathophysiology to nursing students, and an Adjunct Faculty teaching Introductory Biology to freshmen and sophomores. She has also taught laboratory courses in Microbiology and Biology as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Her teaching philosophy focuses on fostering curiosity, supporting student success, and helping students achieve a deep understanding of biology.

Ms. Mridul is a Chemistry teacher with 34 years of experience as the head of online teaching academy “Chemistry Made Easy.” She has additional experience as a post-graduate teacher at The Lawrence School in Sanawar and the Dayanand Public School in Shimla. She received her Bachelor of Education in Chemistry from Annamalai University and her Master of Science in Animal Biochemistry from the National Dairy Research Institute in Karnal.

As a retired educator, Ms. Nashid continues to share her extensive mathematical knowledge and teaching expertise with students. Her decades of classroom experience, combined with her deep understanding of mathematics instruction at multiple academic levels, makes her particularly effective at helping students build strong mathematical foundations and achieve academic success.

Mr. David brings 20+ years of experience teaching in the classroom and tutoring students 1:1. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University in 1998 with a BS in Secondary Mathematics education. After graduating, he taught 8-12th grade math at the Summit Education Center in Duncanville ISD for 10+ years. Since then, he has been tutoring with Ottimmo for the last 10 years and brings a wealth of experience to our learning center. He has a lifetime Texas teaching certificate, earned by his passion for teaching students.
